About the Company Name

A phase change is a transition from one state to another – ice melting into liquid, steam rising from water.

Photography performs similarly dramatic transformations.

A swift bald eagle is frozen in flight, framed by the architecture of a dam.

A running dog becomes colorful blurs of energy.

A long exposure collects distant, sporadic lightning on Lake Superior as if it were a gorgeously violent storm.

The afternoon sun turns a school’s bland concrete into an exploration of light, shadow, line, shape, color, and texture.

Capturing the fleeting moment.

Distilling the feeling of an experience.

Twisting reality.

Pulling the extraordinary from the mundane.

This is the spirit of Phase Change Photography.
